as long as they are legal and law abiding... I have no problem with them.

They are different people just like Hispanics or African Americans or anybody for that matter. Don't they fit in our culture? It is sad that a lot of people are prejudice or racist. We are all people no matter what the color of our skin is. It is sad to see the stereotype of the differences in people. It is the same for people hating the US because of our Government or maybe cause we are the land of the free and our government is rubbing it in every country's face. That is why we are the target. We can thank our lovely preseident for that. Indians were definetly born and raised completly different from us, it takes a really open person to not judje. I think they mix in our society just like everybody else, americans included. Do we americans mix in their society, and where is it?

I really don't know! The only time I see them is when I stop in at a local 7/11 store which isn't often, but they are very friendly. To be honest those people that are racist, back biting goody two shoe, bigots, holier than thou attitudes are what doesn't mix in my society!
And I am not referring to Indians with that statement!

The United States is unlike most of Europe and Asia, in that people of all races, cultures, ethnicities, religions are living in comparative safety and peace here.
My next-door neighbor on one side is an ultra-conservative Christian black woman. On the other side is a young professional white man and his family. Across the alley lives a quiet Moslem family (only know their religion from the women's hijab). I've worked with several people from India, Japan, Rumania, Jordan, Poland, Mexico, Argentina, China and France, all at the same company.
The society is built upon the belief that it is how you as a person act, and interact, with others that matters. Not where you were born, what color your skin is, or how you choose to worship your Deity.

I have worked with people from India. I dated an Indian girl for a very short period of time. Yes, we do "mix", I believe.

Well most of the Indians that come from India are pleasant people and they make an effort to blend into out society and become Americans, if that is what they are here for. Most no English before they come here, because they no how important it is in order to become American and to get ahead in the world. Plus I like their accent.

It depends on who you are. If you have a complex about "Indian" people then they would stick out to you. If you don't then they mix just like everyone else. In general there are so many different ethnicity's in this county everyone has the chance to mix.

If your question is "Do they mix well into our society?"....then yes, sure...of course they do.
There are many Indians in our country. As a matter of fact, a group of Indian gentlemen own a business in my office building.
