Yes. And Coast Guard, civilian DOD personnel, etc. And some of them are doing the same thing the Army and Marines are doing, fighting and standing guard duty, etc.

I was in Iraq for OIF II, in the Army, and saw some Air Force and Navy patrolling around some of the bases.

Yes both the Navy and Air Force are there, believe it or not, the Navy have a large contingent of E.O.D., MA's and Seabee's in Iraq and Afghanistan, yes they are in country and working on a certificate like shellback call sand sailor. The MA's are being sent for escorting duty, seabees are trying to help with rebuilding. There have been sailors killed in Iraq, not just the corpsman. So the simple answer is yes all branches of service are involved with personnel.

From a NAVY standpoint: of course, every time you see a Marine in Iraq there's a Navy hospital corpsman medic not too far away. Navy sailors perform the functions of medics in the Marines, live right beside them, treat them when the Marines are injured, and sometimes, are casualties themselves. They wear the same uniform so mostly people do not know they are in fact sailors. They are among the very best sailors in the the Navy, I think.
Many Medal of Honor winners were Navy corpsman serving with the Marines, far too many posthumously awarded after they die saving someone else's life. One of the "Marines" pictured in the photo of the flag raising at Iwo Jima was a Navy Hospital Corpsman (They were called Pharmacy Mates back then).
We also have many SEA-BEES (Construction Battalion Sailors) serving in IRAQ rebuilding infrastructure and facilities for our other troops, as well as Navy officers and sailors performing communication duties, military police work, ammunition, aircraft mechanics, supply and logistics sailors, intelligence work, Public Affairs duties, JAG (yes, like TV) and of course The Navy Seals are highly active in IRAQ carrying out special Operations missions.
We probably have pilots in the field also carrying out forward air control duties.
In addition there are thousands of officers and sailors stationed on the aircraft carriers and subs, destroyers, and support ships right off the coast of IRAQ supporting shore operations. All spend months away from home and their families and I salute them!!. Thank you for serving!!

By the Way, 23 years service in the Navy

Yes and Yes. The Air force runs the Baghdad airport among others. The Navy has carriers based all over the place for air strikes. And let's not forget the Navy Seals.

Trick question. Only the Army has soldiers.

The Air Force has Airmen, and the Navy has Sailors.

All have served at some point.

Also, just so you know, soldiers come from the Army only.

Army = soldiers
Air Force = airmen
Marines = Marines
Navy = Sailors

The media make the same mistake all the time.

You're right, though. All have played a role.

Yep, for sure, for sure. My dad was sent over to Afghanistan (not Iraq, I know) just a month after 9/11. He flies B-1s which carried out the majority of sorties and bombings over in Iraq right now. Some people he knows are over there right now. The people who killed Al-Zarqawi were Air Force fighter pilots.
