As pills are not like food, I think the 10 second rule is okay here. If the pill looks clean, you are at low risk for contamination, since it's dry and not wet.
But use your judgment on this one. I have dropped my birth control pills, as since there were only a limited number in a pack each month, I had to crawl around to find it.

It didn't change the composition of the pill.. wipe the dirt off and take it. May actually want to wash it, unless you have a phobia for germs.

Unless you were in a barn or a chicken coop when you dropped it, take the pill. It is still good. You should take it.
