God doesn't talk to people just like that. He rarely, very rarely talked to a very few people.
He would never say "Kill" (He did once order Abraham to kill his son, but that was just a test and that was in the Old Testament)
Christians follow the teachings of Jesus Christ - no eye for eye and tooth for tooth, but turn the other cheek.
No killings!
Absolutely not!

Because God doesn't change. He said "Thou shall not kill". He didn't say "Thou shall not give your money"...in fact Christ taught the same thing as the old testament, to tithe your money.
Besides, some folks can make some things more believable than others.

Because giving away money for no apparent reason is a strange and otherworldly act, motivated by something that we can't readily define, and we can easily attribute it to divine interference. Homicide on the other hand, is a mundane act, often motivated by things that we can all understand.
