I am slimming but want to get drunk. My usual drinks are lager or vodka (with mixers). I have been known to drink pretty much anything else in my time (except gin which I hate).
Does anyone know the comparable calories per % alcohol for drinks especially lager, bitter, cider, wine (red/white),alcopops, vodka, sambucca, tequila etc , please include mixers where appropriate.
cheers

PS Please no morals on binge drinking!
PPS Best answer gets a drink on me!

vodka or rum with diet is probably the best you can do for that situation...

The only thing I know is, the clearer the drink (bar alcopops which are the worst drinks for dieters) the better for you. Gin and Vodka with a diet mixer are the best. Lager is sky high in empty calories. Alcopops are high in sugar. I know it's boring but all alcohol is empty calories and if you are anything like me, you will have the munchies the next day (and the next) and your diet will go out of the window!

First off, avoid beer and wine. Unless you are drinking the ultra-low carb beers. Try Miller Lite or Michelob Ultra.

Your best bet is to drink Vodka. Something top shelf. Not the flavored kinds. I believe some of the rums are also low-calorie. Someone was advertising bacardi and diet coke as a no-calorie drink. This is, of course, a misnomer, since alcohol turns to calories in the digestive process, but it's still better than drinking beer or wine.

Commercials for Bacardi rum and diet coke say zero calories. I have tried to do this and nasty to me but if you drink diet coke anyway you may like it. I was also told by a friend that some Champagne is low in calories - she started drinking the one in the black bottle but I don't remember the name. Other then that anything with little mixers will be lower in calories the a full on mixed one. Try shots or mixing with water.

I particularly have discovered one drink to be awesomely gentle. long island ice teas. this is organic liquor and you won't be able to even flavor it. i've got not gotten into the brandy myself. Too sluggish. i admire some thing i will drink by using the pitcher and get below the impact of alcohol for low fee. whew age attending to the tummy too UW? stay removed from the tookillyah then darlin ;) try some hennessey. As a qualified bartender you may take my word that this is one in each and every of the smoothest on the industry ;)

Red Wine. trust me, I drink one bottle every day, well after five int the evening, slowley. Never get fat on that. Larger and Beer are the fatteners. And all those other silly alcho thingies, waste of time, and liver rot, big style. Stick to Red Wine...never get cancer, and a heart attack. Mind you, only one or two bottles at most. Any more, you have problem

All alcoholic drinks contain empty calories, they have no nutritional value at all. All liquers are high in sugar, lager, cider and beer are also high in calories. To be honest I don't think it's possible to get drunk if you are on a calorie controlled diet.

Spirits, ideally vodka with a diet mixer.

Calories will be high no matter what, so I guess the best thing would be a hard clear liquor on the rocks, or mixed with a diet soda. Grey Goose Rocks w/a twist for me. Since the calories are going to be high, you have to shoot for low fat/sugar instead.
