Use olive oil with some oregano or thyme for salads similar to greek salad.

Or use olive approx 80-90% with the rest being Balsimico vinegar.

this called A Thousand Island salad dressing:
you add a dolup of mayo
a dolup of kechup

it tastes great

HOME MADE FRENCH STYLE DRESSING

2 tablespoons mayo
1 squirt ketchup
1 squirt mustard
1 teaspoon suger
1 teaspoon sweet picle juice (optional)

stir all together and let stand for about 5 min stir again and enjoy
(you can play with the amounts to get the tang you like)

(my family has been using this recipe for 4 generations)

olive oil and vinegar in equal amounts, then add your favorite savory spices or herbs like garlic, tarragon, chives, pepper, italian seasoning mix, or a combination of both, shake well and add to salad. Or if you like thousand island, mix ketchup, mayo and relish until it tastes the way you want it to.

mix olive oil with vinegar add some spices out of your cabinet and thats it. if you don't have olive oil you can use cooking oil. I part oil to 2 parts vinegar shake well
