My fiance and I rented a place for our wedding day. I am in Texas and the weather gets crazy. In December 10 2006 we don't know if it's going to be raining or not. It has a nice gazebo-porch area for the ceremony but what if it rains. We are looking out in alternatives for service in a church but since we want to get married on a Sunday churches can't help us. There is a church but it's like $400 to rent it, just the church alone. Can you give me some ideas or advices? I will appreciate it. Thank You

That is a risk you take anytime you plan an outdoor wedding. You never know what the weather is going to do. What you might do is have the wedding party in the gazebo, and explain to your guest. Tell them " Hey This an outdoor wedding bring your umberellas just incase". It could make for a great memory. If that dont satisfy you check with some of the local community halls, or organizations who rent there halls. Good luck.

Have you considered renting rents? It would probably run you about the same in price as the church though. Can you find a park near your area with a gazeebo that also has a club house or community area indoors? I know there's one in Mesquite at Westlake Park but I'm not sure where at in Texas yo uare.

If you are a member of a church, they usually won't charge you to rent it. Find one you like, and start going.

I'm sure the place can put up tents if it rains. You should check to see if the offer that.
