The question I understand but the logic behind it is puzzling to me. I feel that you can be loyal to many things at one time. Why would you have to choose. The only thing in history that I can compare this too..... would be the Civil War..... but mind you we are not at war with Mexico now wouldn't that be a mess. During the Civil War family was pitted against family to defend the regions that they loved. Since that is not the case.....I just wonder what educated opinion this question would form? or what is the reasoning behind the question. It helps when someone explains themselves in DETAIL.

If I fled the United States and it was Mexico that was giving me a Job and feeding my family and free health care, I would be loyal to Mexico, why should I be loyal to a country that dosen't care about it's own people. I would be flying the Mexican flag, and thanking them for giving me a home. Why would I fly the flag of the U.S. if they gave me a map to Mexico, and was urging me to get out, and give me no assistance.

If I were visiting, I would be grateful to Mexico and primarily loyal to the US. If I chose to live in Mexico permenantly, I can see where they might want to require my first allegience to be there. Then I would have a choice to make.

Those here hardly seem grateful, and we are giving so much that it really hurts.

As an American in Mexico I would be loyal to America, however I would be there legally and paying my own way.

If I were in Mexico, I wouldn't have any loyalties, because I would be dead. It is the only way I would go back to that shi*hole of a country.

Would I be on vacation or living there for good? It would depend on the situation and if I had become a Mexican citizen.
