If its only a 2 pin plug it wont matter because you will be able to put the plug into the socket either way round anyway. If the pins are different thicknesses or polarised in some other way, open up another plug and check that connection. Sorry I don't know any wiring colours except uk/europe/usa. Brown will be live and blue will be neutral though.

Just found out! If it was a 3 pin plug with the central pin (Earth/ground) at the TOP the brown would be on the right, the other two pins would be a V so if you replicate this you should be ok..

Jayktee96 provides reliable suggestion. i might say that if the physique of the lamp is metallic then it may desire to have an earth connection, if no longer (maximum moldable lamps dont) in simple terms decrease the earth cord flush with the insulation. If the lamp makes use of a generally happening bulb and the connections are no longer marked (L and N) then it is not significant what way you connect the stay and independent, yet continuously connect them properly interior the plug. in case you wiring is neat and shelter you would be ok. do no longer in easy terms reuse cable, continuously decrease and strip to verify the proposed installation. Discard any plug with a defective twine grip and make effective no bare copper cord is exhibiting exterior the terminals.
