First, let me extend my deepest symphathies to you. Second, scream really loud at the top of your lungs for as long as you can- get ALL the frustration out.
Third, take a DEEP breath and look at the positives- perhaps you could start a new trend with your "new do" or you could shave your head or you could try to make the best out of it by styling / combing it another way and let it grow out. It is only hair- it grows back. And besides, now you will have a funny story to tell your children and grandchildren!!! :-)

Sorry about what happened to your hair. It really sucks when people don't know what they're doing. I never get my hair cut from a lady that doesn't understand what I'm trying to say or is new to the salon. The best thing is do, is to either make it work somehow. Get a bunch of hair gel, bobby pins, curling irons and see if you can make it work. Maybe you can start a trend. But if you're absolutely sure it won't work, then get extensions until your hair grows out. Go to a professional place, where they know what they're doing. It's always worth the money when it comes to big hair changes. Good luck!

Well if she didn't cut your hair too short than you still have hope. You can go to a good salon that's known for their experience and have them fix it. Just have them do something cute and simple with it to fix it until it grows. If it's really short and you can't cut anymore I would recommend styling it with product and just wait until it grows (take some hair growth vitamins to enhance growth). Everyone has a haircut from hell at least once in their life; it's not the end of the world so don't stress too much :-)

Get a refund!!! and warn the whole world about her lousy haircut...
wear a hat or scarf everyday.. or cut it even shorter.. ever consider a wig or hair extension??
or maybe u can try to stay at home for the rest of the month or tell everyone that the hairstyle is the most "IN' fashion...

-Wear or buy a new hat.
-Buy or borrow a wig.
-Shave all your hair off and make a new start.
-Go to another hairdresser to try and fix it.
-Go on a long vacation where people don't know you while you are letting it grow out.
-Act like it's the new fad haircut.
-Don't look in the mirror for a few weeks and it won't bother you.

Sorry 'bout your plight, lady!!
1st off, learn from your mistake in regds of who you go to for ANY service...always do a little checking out (investigating--ask around ie. family, co-workers, etc.) Meanwhile, if your hair is relatively short or medium length, try wearing hair extensions or maybe a "partial wig" for about 2-4 weeks. But by all means, condition your hair weekly.

You have my sympathy!

I would look for hairstyles that you like that are shorter than the one you have. You can look at it as an opportunity to wear your hair shorter than you had intended.

Also, as others said, keep in mind that it's only hair. It grows back. It's possible that in as little as two weeks you'll have more wiggle room to fix it and it won't seem as bad as it does now.

Go to someone else and let them fix it! Ask your friends or family who does their hair for some help finding a good person.

Wear it up in a clip-on ponytail for a while. These are so cute you'll wear them all the time.
