The landlady still has it. She collected 30, gave back 5 and then accepted 2 back, equaling her total amount received of 27. Each man paid a net of 9. 9X3= 27. The "trick" in the question is the "add in the tip". The tip has nothing to do with accounting for the total.

Each man pays £30, and gets £5 each back, means they have paid £25 each. They each tip the Landlady £2 eack, means they have paid £27 each. The maths ain't right!! There is no other £1.

the landlady has it. Put together they have given £25 and gotten £5 thats the end of that story.
And then the get each get £1 (so thats 3 men so thats £3) and plus the tip which equals £5 gone, and £25 is gone to

wrong...they paid 8.(3) each+0.(6) each for the tip and each got back 1!!!
8.(3)*3=25
0.(6)*3=2
1*3=3
ha ha Romanians are still the smartest :-)))
