My dog is about a year old, and is part pit bull. Lately some thick green liquid has been coming out of his penis. I called my vet, who said it was normal. I'm still worried though, because I've never seen this in any of my other dogs before. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is it normal? Thanks for your help!

It happens to both of my boys and the vet said it was normal. If you are really worried I would just take him in. Your dog should not have an excessive amount coming out if it is then I would take him to the vet or if he has trouble urinating.

I've heard it's an infection of some sort. Take the dog TO the Vet and have them look

If the vet said it was normal then listen to the vet. Its a vet (am I right).! try different types of dog food and see if that's the trick.

Normally male un neutered and sometimes neutered dogs have some penile dischagre.
It is normal and nothing to be concerned about unless it gets to be alot of it where it is dripping all over the place. Or the dog is licking himself all the time and seems sore.

I have two male dogs. The vet tells me it is normal. No infection. No need for meds.

If you can't believe your Vet than don't call any more. Yes it is normal.
