I have trained my son and grandson by just taking all their clothes away while at home and dressing them in nothing but an oversized tee shirt (maybe one of yours). Children don't want to go to the bathroom in the open without something to catch it. Put a diaper on only at nap and night time. My two and a half year old grandson trained totally in 2 weeks. Make sure the potty chair or commode is available at all times and make a big deal about flushing everything bye-bye. Good luck and hope this works for you.

I have 6 kids.5 of them was toliet train the day after their second birthday.Thats all it took was 1 day.Im toliet training my 22 month old now. He`s almost trained but it`s been 1 1/2 weeks with him.The problem with toliet or potty training is after several accidents the mother puts the diaper back on the child to protect her furnisher and carpet from getting wet and soiled.Im not sure if thats what you are doing or done but that is the worst mistake anyone can make. From the time you start training him to the point where he is fully trained he should be in underwear, not a diaper and never a pull up.Pull ups is nothing but diapers without tabs. The first time my lil one wet hiself I said ewwww being wet is yucky, lets go get clean underwear on.He said ewww yucky and could not wait to get in the house for dry underwear.Good luck. Some kids take months from the time you THROW AWAY the diapers. Also it will not hurt for him to sit on toliet to pee then he can stand on stool once he masters sitting and peeing.it`s scarey for them to stand on a stool and try to balance theirself and if they slip while standing and get hurt that even gives them more reason not to use the bathroom.

I had the same trouble with my son. I finally told his father to take him to the bathroom and show him what he's suppose to do with that thing! From that day on, my son understood exacty what the toilet was for and how to use it.

What do you exactly mean trouble with it? He doesnt know when he needs to go to bathroom? Basically is just time and patients.... just help him more. Teach him.. tell him.. but don't scream at him. Kids need time to learn.

My mom taught my brother by letting him go in our backyard to pee when she let the dog out. Eventually she got him to pee inside in the toilet, but taught him to let her know when, like a dog does.
