The Amish are dealing with a tragedy in a way that provides them comfort and meaning, and I am impressed with their compassion for the family of the murderer. While I do not share their beliefs, I hope that they bring the Amish solace in this dark period.

I AM a believer, and the forgiveness the Amish have displayed is truly, to me, awe-inspiring--and VERY humbling, because I honestly don't know if I could do it if I were in that situation.

I praise the Lord for such good examples.

Amish people are generally very kind and humble. I've always admired them.
But they do have a very controlled society, and they do indoctrinate their children very heavily. If they had access to the media, the internet and the government, the way Evangelicals do, I guarantee you wouldn't be speaking so kindly of them then.
