How is it compared to manhattan?

Is it a lot slower paced? safer/more crime? A lot cheaper?

I'm thinking of moving to NYC but not sure which part to go too.

Every borough has its good and bad areas. Even the Bronx has some quite nice places.

In general, they tend to be less hectic than Manhattan; there are some fairly quiet residential neighborhoods. Closer to the trains or highways, it gets noisier; traffic-wise the major highways can be worse in Queens than Manhattan.

Unless you're expecting to hear a pin drop, you can probably find a neighborhood that meets your needs. Keep searching. I just hope it meets your price range, too.

Well it all depends on your tolerance and where your from. But Queens might be better for you. You might not be able to handle Brooklyn. Anywhere you move in New York there is crime and everything is expensive. New York is faster paced than any other state; and I love that about New York. But New York does have its pros and cons, its just a matter of you dealing with them. The Bronx is about the worst place to live n NY so don't even think about that. You should also consider Manhattan but things are a little more on the pricey side.

I use to live in Brooklyn before I moved down here to FL.. I have to tell you that Brooklyn is a lot more cheaper than Manhattan but at the same time there's a lot of crime going on there... But i'm not gonna say that it's in the whole BK.. just some parts of it. It all depends on where you want to live. If you don't want no crimes than Manhattan is the place to go.

Look at the local papers. Hit ' images ' on Yahoo. Do all three boros. Staten Island and the Bronx as well. Guaranteed you'll get an unvarnished picture and yes, you'll stop thinking about moving there. ( I should know. )
