I know this is scary but every hour when I read or hear the news I hear the word nuclear in the same sentence as Iran and North Korea..Spooky.

Sadly, I say yes. Ever since I watched that movie red Dawn back in the 1980's all my nightmares were about world war 3 occuring, and now I really think it is quite possible. the world is as unstable as it has ever been. It is frightening to think how many countries have nuclear weapons and are ready and willing to use them including us.

Nuclear war is not only NOT imminent, but unlikely to EVER happen.

Worst case scenario, N Korea detonates a nuke, and the US responds by nuking the N Korean test facility.

That is not a nuclear war, because all the damage is suffered by one side.

That would be strategic nuclear deterrence, because Iran and other nuclear hopeful countries would take a long hard look at their policies...

if you think this is scary, try growing up in the Sixties and Seventies. The threat of total anhilation was real and we lived with it daily.

It was only because of "unreasonable" and "hard headed" Leaders like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, that the Russians backed down.

There are some countries/dictators that just don't respect anything except blunt force. The US should make an example of North Korea because paradoxically, it would make the world safer, not less safe.

Global nuclear war is possible but unlikely.

The Koreans are posturing, but personally I think that is all it is. They may detonate a bomb, but they lack the capability for an all out attack at this time.

The Iranians are also posturing, but pose a greater threat. If Iran develops a nuke, the chance is great that Israel would launch a pre-emptive strike. If not, then the chance of Iran attacking Israel becomes a problem. Either way it would further inflame the Middle East.

Pakistan and India are a threat to each other, but even a limited exchange between them would have global consequences and fallout.

The biggest problem with nukes is that it only takes one stray weapon fired in the wrong direction to set off a catastrophic chain of events. So let us all hope that in the end sanity and cool heads prevail in the case of nukes.

I really don't think so. I hope the fools know,
there is no winner in an nuclear exchange.
Bearing in mind only one nation as ever used nuclear weapons on another...The Good ole USA.

Politicians use the News media to plant physiological seeds of unrest to control the masses and implement laws such as the Patriot Act.
By systematically scaring the hell out of the population, the sheep surrender God given rights for state privileges.

Don't believe all that the news media states.
Take the time to find out who owns the television stations and your local news papers.

And remember BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING AND LISTENING.

In 1980, I was in the 5th grade, and we were all very convinced that we would not get the chance to grow up because it was certain at that time that a nuclear war with USSR was imminent. Guess what? They're now defunct. You know, I wasted time I could have spent laughing by being concerned about whether it would happen. Even so, what can you do about it? Nothing. As a nation, we have got to stop bullying other nations-this is what makes us a target. We put our noses into places we are not welcome, then order them around like we have any right to do that, then get mad when they hate us?????

the stress between China and the u . s . a . is as no longer something to the tensions someplace else. Israel is busy attempting to tug something of the international into international conflict 3, Africa is in a position to blow up and islamist extremism in the close to and much east is set just to worsen. Nukes are your least problem.
