I've been scared by many religous folks who can't read the words of their own gods and live right. You've got the Christians who read Romans but not Matthew, and have learned how to tell everyone else they are doing evil without learning how to bring people to Christ. People of any religion (I guess I'm talking about Judaism, Christianity and Islam here) who think they need to kill people who belive in the wrong God. Though I've never met a Hindu I didn't like, any religion that can't decide what good and evil are scares me.

Most of all, I'm scared by atheists (or atheists posing as agnostics) who so deeply believe there is no god that they will preach to people on the subject--that's just way too weird.

religion never scares me. what scares me are those who practice the religion of their choice and do not respect the free will and rights of others who oppose the religion they believe to be the right one.

Only the ones that carry out killing in "God's" name. Which is all of them I think. I believe in God, and genuinely live my life according to his commandments and teachings. To be good and charitable. But I belong to no church. I am not sure that religion is the same thing.

Ever? Always! But not with the stupid threats of hell, and the like. I'm scared with every thing it can actually do to us.

all organized religions are terrifying. especially the ones that force you to believe their religion is the right and only one. if i find spiritual enlightenment elsewhere, isn't that the idea?
