I would call the tax office here but I live in a rual area and the only woman is hard to contact.

I'm only 16, I work part-time at a grocery store in western pennsylvania. On my paycheck I get PA taxes AND Federal taxes taken out.

Does anyone know if I will have to pay wage taxes or do income taxes? Thanks for your help.

I live in PA also, and yes, you have to pay the local wage tax. Most places are 1% except for Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, which are a lot higher. If you're in a rural area, it's probably just 1%. This is in addition to federal and state income taxes.

Technically you're supposed to file the wage tax quarterly if your employer doesn't take it out, but the interest isn't much if you don't. To save that, write to the person who collects the tax and ask for quarterly forms.

The employer doesn't have to take the wage tax out of your pay unless they have a store in the municipality, township, borough, whatever, that you live in.

it may well be effective to gets a commission. lol. besides the undeniable fact that it does no longer be a stable theory to pay stay at domicile mom's or dad's. human beings p.c. despite if or no longer they p.c. to be mothers and dads or no longer. If a guy or woman became paid by being at domicile with their babies, I guess somewhat some human beings would have toddlers in basic terms so as that they'd stay at domicile and gets a commission. How I end this? human beings I pay attention discussions approximately it all of the time. We have already got the WIC and Welfare or different government granted platforms already figuring out to purchase those with low income bracket. With California being the intense tax and in debt state, it does no longer be a stable theory. mothers and dads do artwork no longer common and a few do artwork harder than others despite if be with a million infant or 5+. Plus, qualifying age would additionally be a factor. I even have are available in touch with some youth who had no concerns approximately funds as they felt "getting on welfare became much less annoying than getting a job" (a quote from an ex pal). Now, with stay at domicile mom's or dad's, a 13 year previous mom would desire to qualify for that and easily way she would be denied is that if her mom claiming her and the infant on tax's, who's additionally a stay at domicile mom. If the mummy is working outdoors of domicile, the 13 year previous won't qualify nonetheless. Yeah, it is going into somewhat some intensity whilst interpreting it. the government paying would mean boost in tax funds and something would could bend, for this to take place. Our training funds has already been cut back returned as new tax's boost for specific issues. So, something continuously has to go through for yet another element to stay afloat.

Not sure what your question is. You are paying "wage taxes" otherwise known as payroll taxes and you are paying income taxes. There is nothing else you need to do. Since you are 16 and working part-time make sure you file a tax return since you are likely to get back most of the taxes you are having withheld.

If you are asking if your employer must withhold the taxes, the answer is yes.

If you are asking if you must file a tax return, you did not supply enough information. The link below is the instructions for the IRS 1040 form. Page 12 begins with the question "Do you have to file?" Even if you are not required to file, you may want to because you are probably entitled to a refund. If you don't file, you can't claim a refund.
