Yes it is, and even better if you make your own as you know exactly what is in it. (Easy with a Bread Maker.)
Unfortunately it doesn't keep fresh so long without the preservatives etc., but it doesn't usually hang around for long, it is too scrummy.

Granary bread is healthy as it is low GI that is its keeps you fuller for longer. But in terms of calories I would say the healthiest bread was Marks and Spencer Count on us bread- at 60 kcals you can't go wrong.

The best bread and probably the healthiest bread, is the bread you make for yourself and family at home. You know exactly what's gone into it. Next time you buy a cut loaf, read the label.

Always look on the label for the protein content per slice of bread. I always do this and you will find that some white bread is healthier than some of the brown and grainery brands. Strange but true!!

its a great name, its malted meal with grains, nothing bad in that, its what else goes into the flour to make the bread that you should check out, any mould inhibitors? any shelf life extenders? any fats oils ? how much salt per 100gms of flour? any improvers?
ask the store /shop/ baker to tell you whats in it , if they can't walk away and buy a small bread maker.
