It seems like every guy I meet on match.com has went through hundreds of women and I want someone who is like myself and who isn't out just to date anyone for a one night stand. I'm looking for a guy who will have respect on a first date. What are others opinions on match.com?

I was never on that site but did use Findsomeone.com. Figure that they are all the same. I chatted with some interesting women but some real losers also. Many just wanted wild flings and some wanted to move in immediately. Got lucky though and met a woman that I am now engaged to marry next May 20. We met about 3 years ago and she is the real deal. A fine artist with a real passion and flare for living live to the fullest. So keep up your spirits and hopefully you too will meet someone who is more interested in who you are than what they can get off of you. Best of luck to you.

I'm a guy and have been on match.com, and true.com. To me, both of them are a waste of time. No matter where you go, you will always find someone who is looking for just sex. You just have to sort them out, usually you can find out what they want by just talking to them, hopefully on the internet first. I've even met women on there that were just looking for sex. It's everywhere I guess. Be carefull, talk with them for a long, long time before you meet.

sorry this doesnt really answer your question but.....i heard of other companies that, although they cost a little more, arrange singles events for example dinner dates for a large group of people, its good because rather than it just being 2 of you and having that akward silence that sometimes happens, you can mingle with everyone. also the guys there are usually much better looking alot more proffessional and genuine. sorry i cant remember the name of the company but im sure if you go on google you'll be able to find something.

Not to say there cant be good coming from the internet, cuz love can come in all sorts of ways, event hrough internet but the odds are against u.

Internet dating is scary in general. Someone can more easily hide what they really are over the Internet.
So be careful. Maybe other methods are a little more safe

I met a guy at an art opening and we hit it off and had fun, yet all he wanted was a booty call. That's all a lot of them want anymore and a lot of women seem satisfied with living their lives like that, too.

I have a hard time finding girls like you!! Guys that believe in abstinance are around! I never tried internet dating cause I like trying the old fashioned way. So far, im still lookin.
