Good question. And it is possible but faith is like a seed. If planted and tended it will grow to a sureity or pure knowledge. If left passive it will rot and adventually decay and disapear. So faith can be passive but such faith is short lived. True Faith requires exersice and continued tending to survive.

Those who passively obey some moral code have no faith. Faith is strong. Faith is like fire. But there are people who go to church every sunday. Who have no faith. Who say they are of this denomination or that. But aren't. They're just joiners. Automatons.

There is no such thing as passive disobedience. Faith has nothing to do with obedience or disobedience. Faith involves hope and trust.

No it's not the same. Faith is believing with seeing or being about to touch it. I have faith and serve the living God because I want too (free will) not because I have too (He gave me choices, too). He pursues me, I pursue Him. It's a relationship.

Passive obedience; is not the same. It would be like slavery. You are "caught" in it and can do nothing about it.

You have a choice in believing in Jesus Christ.
