Well, not the General Lee stuff. The 69 Chrager is a beautiful car and deserves something a little more classy. Black is nice, but Dodge had some really nice and some really wild colors available in 1969. Check out some MOPAR colors online. I like the Copper Metallics, B5 Blue, Plum Crazy (actually didnt come out until 1970) and of couse Hemi Orange. Enjoy...

Black, every one and their sister paints them like the Lee. Its a waste of good muscle car. It gets even worse when people start painting non 69/70 Chargers like the Lee.
Personaly I would paint one Butterscotch paint code EL5

Between the two paint jobs you have I would ratehr have it in the black. Black when it is cleaned and polished is a beautiful color for a car especially a muscle car. My cousin has a 69 charger in factory color of metalic green with black top it has a 440 6 pack and it will definitely haul ***.

Black. That General Lee paint job was totally lame. It SCREAMS redneck. But if that's the look you want to project, then there is no better car to do it with than the General Lee.

I would guess the paint job would be any color u would want in a car....if i had a choice thou it would be black with about 6 layers of clear cote on it...this would make the shine go really deep and stand out more....hope this helps in your choice for colors

The general lee paint job and then I'd turn around and sell it to some ignorant redneck.

Our family has a 68 black one with the bumble bee stripes on the back. My dad had it then he gave it to my brother who put in a new engine. ( Wish I was the one to get it ) But just because that's the color it's been all my life I would keep it black.
