It says he saw the light and it was good.......

He says he is good.... and all that other stuff.

What if his standard of what good is is lower than mine?

What if I want the light to be better?

What if I want light to be absorbed by the human body until it reaches a critical level at which the body goes into orgasmic spasms?

Oooh and I want it to provide all of the nutrients needed by the human body because that would put an end to malnutrition.

I think that light would be good......

Don't you agree?

Nice answer beta_fishy but I didn't say constant orgasms.

I don't think I'd be able to get any work done. Not unless I worked in a completely darkened room.

Photograph printers and coal miners would be sadly depraved. They would turn into psychopaths. It would never work. Sorry.

Well, let's examine the consequences of your light. No one would need to do anything to feed themselves, so the incentive to work would largely go away. And if the body was undergoing constant orgasmic spasms, then the instinctual urge for procreation would probably die out, and then humanity would die out, but not before they died of a heart attack from the constant strain of the spasms...

Not so good, I'd say... ;-)

Look - the whole basis of your argument is from that of an angry believer. If you belong to a religious organization which is preaching things you don't agree with, then leave! It's futile to get angry at a religion - they exist to control their congregation. Be true to yourself. And incidentally, talking about "taking God's word on what good is" is not what religions want you to do - their writings were written by human beings, and they want you to believe that everything they say is right. "God" is just a magic word they use to make their followers conform.

No I like to eat and greed is what is behind people starving.
One day God will solve mankinds problems and he knows what is best for us. It is like a 3 year old telling his parents. I don't like pea's and the parents say vegetables is good for you. But, the 3 year old says, "Yes but I don't like peas."
Just because he doesn't like it doesn't mean it isn't good for him.
God knows what is best for us and we are childish not to listen.
He made us and knows how to run the Universe. I mean where were you when he made the sun? If your so smart why don't you make a sun? Or maybe just even a little star? Or even a tornado? Earthquake? Or even a new specie of flower.
So your not really so smart after all are you?

He who creates and begats is always greater than he who is created and the begatton. The Father GOD is greater than His Son JESUS..although they are equal..For He that begat is greater than that which is begotten. God is the Father of Lights, JESUS is Life ,Light of the world. We as human beings will never be higher than our Creator...There is none good but the Father GOD ..Not unless He calls one good. If one has stolen, lied ,commited adultry etc..are they good. GOD does not lie etc. evil does though. people are not evil..they can do evil things though. When we leave earth for heaven thats where you shall not have sickness, deases.killing, hunger ,etc...JESUS came that we may have life and have it more abundantly..here and in heaven and have eternal life ..The poor we will have with us always on earth ...not so in heaven and we wait on that time..Remember Lucifer tried to esteem Himself ..True light comes from GOD/JESUS...Those that have must help the have not...(evil=evol =sin=causes famine, hunger.etc Those in CHRIST live in that greater life, light ,no matter what happens here on earth..and yes He cares. Prayer, helping one another,And to those that have eating correctly will help concernning malnutrition.

hell, even a fool like Me says the light is good.
i was in that place in which there is no darkness so yes i saw God.
proof is 123456789 read upside down with understanding 4 upside down is 17 and an upside down 2 is like an eye seeing. and God is 1 and 5 upside down is ear ie hear.
means read upside down 68 L(leg)9 ear I7 e(ie he) see 1.
so if bible writer is correct it means I AM pure of heart. Cause i was born 68.9.I7. So proof positive GOD does exist.
heil Gott, hail God.etc...

God is the ultimate arbiter of His will, and his standards are far beyond ours. As far as the human condition is concerned we are stuck with it, and unless we become artificially created beings there is very little we can do about it.
As a side note God's will has, is, and always will be a matter of personal interpretation.

If He made the Earth in six days I think it is safe to say that His standard is somewhat higher then ours. And as My Creator His Word is more then enough for me.

one would take God's Word as good (and true) only if he/she believes in God (the Creator, the ID, the beginning & the end)

if you do not believe in God (as defined above) then you can set whatever standards you want & whatever gauge of goodness you would want to set up... so on that one i agree with you.
