Well, obviously they are training in Iraq and Afghanistan as well. However, we all know it is impossible to ever completely win a guerilla war, so your question is merely rhetorical.

There is no winning the Afghan war, the Iraq occupation, the war on terror abroad. I think that cons and dems alike would have rather seen a blanket bombing of the entire middle east back to the stone-age rather than these brutally "rummyminded" attempts at solving the problems. We need to get the flock outta there and concern ourselves with our own safety here within our borders. Other than the procurement of oil---why are we there? How bout if the plan was to be chaos? That way our defense company's could stay in business making missles and armaments. Halliburton will receive more and more no-bid contracts. All at the expense of American Soldiers lives and psyche's. Give that a thought.

When you sit and examine all the blunders that this administration has let happen since the start of hostilities in 2003, your left with a sick disgusting feeling that they don't ever intend to win this war. For example, Bush says that he can't attack Pakistan because there a sovereign nation. Yet did that stop our military from bombing that village in Pakistan several months ago? Bush says he trusts and believes in the word of his commanders in the field. Ok. Yet Rumsfeld is increasingly taking decision making from these same men? Where is the logic behind that? It sure as h-ell isnt working.

you don't go fishing in the desert...
so why are we focusing on Iraq (which has few links to terror) in the war on terror?
your guess is as good as mine... but the problem here isn't that we're limited, as much as our leaders apparently have no idea where the terrorists are...
I mean my God, when your main way of fighting terror is to take over a country that there are no terrorists in and the terrorists actually have to travel to "fight"... it's a bit silly....
I mean they probably have an infinite number of poor teens that want to blow themselves up... killing them won't accomplish anything... but if you take out the leadership... you're getting somewhere...
why would anyone train in Iraq or Afghanistan when you could do it in Pakistan, where Osama most likely is, without any U.S. government interference?

Instead of rooting out terrorists covertly, the US just marched into iraq with guns blazing. What do you want, unlimited war?

Oh if only they were all training in Pakistan. Myself, I have a bad feeling they're training in every country (especially Iraq), and the U.S. defense industry and oil moguls are rubbing their hands in glee.

News flash. Part of the reason we "lost" in Vietnam was because we had no backing at home. Liberals demonstrating and weakening American moral. The same thing is happening now.
