When those fires were burning (a couple days ago) it seemed like I felt a soul in the room while I was staring into my kitty's eyes and then it seemed really obvious that he felt it, and saw it too, and at that moment I caught a glimpse of the soul out of the corner of my left eye kind of. He seemed to maybe be released from the fires somehow--maybe he was in the chemicals!

I did not know there were fires happening, but I felt so strange I had to find the news later that night.

Something very strange: I have my window covered up with a very tall bookcase to where only a little light gets in, and noticed that I could see (or at least think I can) see images from possibly the Akashic records in the moonlight, (and the tv light if it's an older show like from the 50s, 60s or 70s). I saw vaguely, with 3rd eye not physical eyes a hearth. My cat is now sitting in front of this spot all the time, and his new spot for resting is in front of the (inactive) gas-log fireplace; he's never sat or spent time there before.

Now it seems like maybe there has been a hearth or fireplace on that exact spot about a million times-strange! Makes you wonder how common it is to see the Akashic records or to intuit the best spot for a fireplace

The fires I'm talking about are a church fire in Tennesse, a chemical plant fire in North Carolina, and I think there was another one; sometimes I wonder if I always am seeing the same news on the same world as everyone else; The Hare Krsna religion introduced me to the idea that there are other planets that people are living on. I never read the book, but the title is 'Easy Journey to Other Planets', and since have heard of the idea of parallel reality etc

It is long but I think worth it:
Yes I have. I do believe that animals and children have a tendency of seeing spirits. And I believe it is do to their innocence in a way. As we grow up we tend to rely and proof and scientific explanations for thing we cannot see or explain or call it supernatural but animals and children do not have the same reasoning and are more open to the unseen. Here is a story of my own. We had a cat (I say we because she lived both with us at my parents house and also at my grand-parents house on the other side of the street). After I left home she pretty much moved in with my retired grand parents who where home all the time to keep her happy when my grand mother would get sick and go to the hospital the cat would sleep in her side of the bed without any complaints. The night my grandmother passed away the cat spent the night sitting on my grandmother side wailing. She was grieving for her loss. She did that every night for about 3 weeks until my grandfather (who could not sleep) decided to have a talk with her explaining that it would be just the two of them now and that he missed Grams also very much but that they needed to be there for each other and comfort each other. That night Minoune stopped wailing and laid next to my grandfather and slept finally. She would often sit next to the stove where my grandmother spent most of her time cooking looking up the same way as she use to do when my grandma was alive (watching for falling food (on purpose) ) a few years passed and my grandfather became ill with Parkinson disease and she stayed next to him and comforted him every day. My grandfather passed in his home and in his bed with her next to him. At this point she was now 20 years old. She refused to leave the house and we had to go over and let her in and out of the house for 3 months. To the point that when the house was put up for sale we had to include to clause that she came with the house and the new owners would be also the new care givers. A friend bought the house accepting this clause. After we had emptied the content of the house and she still refused to leave, so we spoke to my grandparents and asked them to please let her know that it was time for her to move on and that they would be fine with out her in the house and that they could come and visit her at my parents house. The next morning she was sitting on my Mom and Dad’s patio and when my Dad opened the door she walked right in to the living room and jumped on the sofa and that was it she was moved back in. Over the next few years (because the story does not end there she lived to a ripe old age of 26) my parents watched her sit in the bay window and stared out at her old house but strangely enough often after my Dad would tell her “Yeah sweety I know you miss them we miss them too terribly” a few hours later sometimes my father or mother would witness the most amazing thing her stretching on her tippy toes like she was having her back petted like my grandmother so often did. My grandfather’s easy chair moved into the house also and often she would sit at the foot of the chair and look up at it as she did before asking permission to jump into my grandfather’s laps (due to his illness he was extremely sensitive and she sometimes hurt him when jumping on him so they had developed a system: she would look at him he would pick up a pillow we would keep for him next to the chair and place it on his lap and then tap on the pillow and she would jump up.) My Dad often said that right before she would jump into the empty chair the chair would either rock slightly or he would hear a faint tap on the wood. She would jump up and look at my Dad who in turn would look over and say hi to my grandfather.
She passed away on April 15th 2004 and still my parents have not been able to bring themselves to get another pet (they are now both retired) but when I go home for a visit I know why they have not tried to find a new pet. She is still there also. Often I can feel her jump onto the bed and curl up next to me. Now I know that you are all saying Yeah right you already believe in ghost so how do you explain my husband who is a total non-believe saying to me “honey I just don’t want to sleep at your parents’ house I keep feeling something jump onto the bed and walk on me but there is never anything there when I turn on the light”?

Oh I loved Fierq's story. How sweet.
Our cat's do this all the time. We always figure they are seeing spirits. The only time it really freaks me out is when they look immediately over my shoulder and stare. Cause then I know who ever or what ever it is , is right behind me.
I do kind of wonder if they're just doing it to freak me out though. I'm sure they have a sick sense of humor. :)
Edit: I just remembered something that happen in our old house. We knew for sure that house was haunted by the ghost of the man who built it. But one night our ghost, Joe, decided to have a little fun with me and our most skittish cat Otis. I was in bed and Otis was hanging out with me. Suddenly I noticed Otis freaking out over the blanket. When I looked I felt something moving inside the mattress, close to the top. I freaked thinking at first it was a mouse or a rat that had gotten inside the mattress. But the movement seamed erratic and it was taunting the cat, more like it is when my husband and I tease the cats moving our feet under the blankets. ( I later had my husband inspect every inch of that mattress - but not even a pin hole could be found. ) The movement only went on for a few seconds and then stopped. I was certain our ghost was the culprit and that he was just messing around so believe it or not I slept in the bed that night anyway. But Otis didn't.

Cats are mystical creatures. They are always in the tween. They will sit in a door way or on a normally travelled path way. They sit in trees. These are places that are the tween, between this place and that, trees heaven and Earth. The mystical part is that they sit tween this dimension and other dimensions, this is why they were use as familiars in lore. They can see faeries, elves, salamanders, gnomes and others we normally cannot see.

Yes, My one cat always sees things I don't. She's always looking up in one corner of my livingroom. It must be someone hovering over me that I can't see. When my two cats were kittens, they both used to start to jump up on my lap and then stop dead in their tracks and hiss. So, not sure what that was about. A few minutes later, they'd be fine.

Yep, one night my cat ran through the living room, stopped dead in front of the empty recliner, gave it a nasty look and instantly put up her back and gave the chair a mighty hiss before tearing off. We laughed ourselves silly & figured we had a "visitor" in the chair!

Yes, my cat and my dog. The dog was dancing in a corner like someone was holding up a piece of meat. I know it is a loved one that is passed just passing through to check on me...

Yeah, it's really creepy. My cat would watch certain spots and get really wide-eyed. I just try not to think about what he is watching. I definitely believe cats can see supernatural things.

I have one cat that does that. when she gets really playful, she'll play with the wall - almost like the wall is playing with her. She darts around "hiding" from it and jumps at the wall sometime too.
I have never seen what she sees, but it is very entertaining.
