i broke my toe last night. i know there is nothing you can do for it but please offer suggestions to stop the throbbing & how to immobilize it

anti-inflammatory and ice....ace bandage to immobilize.

Cold applied immediately after the fracture will reduce swelling and some discomfort. Various pain relievers (Aspirin, ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc) will help.

1) Gently wrap the toe with gauze and secure it with tape to the neighbor toe.

2) Gently wrap the toe with gauze and secure it to a small Popsicle stick on the bottom.

You will need to stay off of the toe for several weeks.

you can tape the toe that is broken to the toe that is next to it, use the white tape.(can be found by the band aids at the store) put some ice on it for about 15 min three times a day and take some
Motrin.

Ice for 15 minutes.
Then put a warm towel that just came out of the dryer.repeat when needed
