The Zoroastrians believed in a dual nature for God. Ahura-Mazda. In addition, Wiccans believe in a dual nature for God as Lord and Lady or God and Goddess.
In order to sort out the problems of mankind there would have to be billions and billions of gods and that might not even be enough. So it is like buying a lottery ticket. If you buy none, you have no chance of winning. If you buy one, you might get lucky and win against all the odds. If you do not believe in the one true God, you have no chance of salvation, if you do believe in Him, you might get lucky.
Grampa would be proud.
