this is a tough question but what happened with me im a shy guy and my fiance that im now with actually asked me out on a date and everything has been great so far just maybe see if he wants to do anything with you this weekend that might do the trick im also 20 by the way

Just be open with him. I know your shy but casually ask him to go to the movies and then ask him out again and then when you are comfortable, just tell him how you feel.

Why is it that you think you have to perform some round-about act without actually telling him how you feel, so that he'll ask you out? That places all the risk of rejection on him. Why don't you just ask him out?

Arrange to "accidentally" have two tickets to something, whatever is available in your area, be it a high school play, two-for-one dinner, something like that. Letting him drive will balance any oddness about you asking him that either of you feel.
