I think you can safely donate 1 pint of blood.
"How much blood do you take?
About 450cc (less than a pint). You have 10 to 12 pints of blood, so donating a pint is safe as often as every eight weeks."

the New York Blood Bank will allow you to donate 1 pint every 8 weeks. I assume this is the safety guideline, but it's probably a conservative, 'one size fits all' answer.
