Hole in the wall bars (society's great equalizer). Last time I went to a club the bar tender informed me they don't serve manhattens there and offered me a jack and coke. I immediately informed them I'm no longer in college and promptly left the establishment never to return.

Hole in the wall bars are usually named after people or things: Nick's, Bobby's, The Rusty Pelican, etc.

Nightclubs are usually named after abstract concepts:
Eden, Orbit, Blue, Groove.
