I know someone who has their GED. They got it through the alternative school here.

Call the office at your High School OR call a technical college in your area. I live in Wisconsin and I had to go through a technical college.
Where I live, they have a class twice a week from 6-9pm and when you want to go in and study for the tests, you just go to class. It is a self pace thing. There will be one teacher there at all times just in case you need help with something. When you are ready you schedule testing at the technical college. There are 5 tests you have to take Reading, English, Science, Social Studies and Math. These tests do not have to be taken all at one time neither.

THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IS FOR THE TESTS. WHICH. OVER HERE IS $15 PER TEST AND I BELIEVE HALF THE PRICE FOR RETAKES.

I got mine thru FCCJ (1987) I'm sure there's alot of other resources that are helpful nowadays!
