Well dear, you don't say where exactly - on the lakeside - in a hotel or lodge? I'm assuming that it is inside, therefore, wear anything that you would normally wear to say, a dinner party with friends. Don't overdo the accessories, as you need to keep your hands free. Oh, and you do NOT need to spit out every mouthful! Leave that to the French! If there are many wines to get through - just take a small sip of each. And.....don't try to use crazy phrases like 'oh I can taste the perfume of roses mixed with the ephemeral smell of smoldering wood'

...if you don't like it, say so!

Good LUCK and have fun and at the end of the evening the men will be so plastered, they won't notice what your wearing anyway!!!!!!

The proper attire for a wine tasting as described by the guru of all matters etiquette, Madam Farnsworth Gigglespout, is as follows,
"Should the tasting involve platters of delicate baby duckling fritters served in the shade of a great Oak, as any grande event should be, then the only appropriate raiment is an ankle length frock handcrafted by the most nubile of young gentiles and made from only the most svelte of rendered hog fat. On the other hand, should the wait-staff consist of 62.32% satyrs then dress always is auburn papyrus lunch bag gloves, starched buckskin pantaloons, a windtunnel approved 7 button wax knit evening shirt, and a hat with the proper number of feathers. If the winery specializes in full-bodied Cabernets then 12 ostrich feathers is the norm, however if the wine is made of old shoestrings only 15 peacock feathers will do."
I hope this helps

For boys I would guess dockers and nice shirt. You of course want the female version of whatever that is, so I'd suggest something comfortable and business-casual, like something you'd get away with on Friday.

Have fun!

You wear something that is business casual due to the reason of your boss being there. You want to look classy yet not uptight.

Something very provocative just kidding, be yourself wear something conservative. A nice fitted sweater, knee length skirt and a pair of cute boots.

Wear what you wear to work. You sound like the 'office lizard' type, so those duds should do nicely.

For clarification: There are office lizards and grease monkeys. I am a grease monkey (machinist).

a simple black dress...with heels.....if the occassion is casual or dressy you wont be out of place....keep some extra fancy jewelry and things in your purse if you get there and find its a formal occassion...then you can quickly sneak to the ladies room....you will be amazed at how the right jewelry can transform a simple black dress into formal wear or casual wear...go and have fun

I would say a nice pantsuit. Or maybe nice capris with a sweater set? Those lake breezes can be chilly.

i would think dress khakis and a nice polo or button up shirt would work just fine. Make it dressier by adding jewelry and makeup.
