If you know the prison they were in you should be able to call and ask if that person has been released. They do that here with the county jail so I dont see why it would be different for prison.

What state were they in? You can do an online search for say FL state prison inmate search, or FL prison inmate release, or something along those lines. I used to live in FL and they actually had a pretty good site where you could look up people and find out what they were in for, how long their sentance was and when or if they were released yet.

If you give me some basic info I can help search around the internet for ya. You can email me if ya want. All you need to know is his name and the state he was in.

By the way, it is not expensive, its free.

P.S. That offender.com didnt work, it just took me to a search page for some other bs.

www.vinelink.com

This website will tell you if a person is incarcerated in the United States and will also allow you to register to be notified upon their release. It is free. If the person was released it will say "bonded out" or "released from custody".

Look in his/her cell.

Seriously, if your state's Department of Corrections has a web site with an offender locator page. It may tell you.
