Some cats like to talk alot.
Has there been any new changes to it's surroundings?
Has it been going to the bathroom okay?
Have you changed food brands?
I have 3 cats and they all have their own different personalities. My oldest one doesn't like changes and makes him really shy and timid for about 2 weeks till he gets used to things.

My 22 yr old cat has been stone deaf for about the last six months. She meows loudly sometimes and she did while she still had her hearing.

I remember being so amazed at the loud meow of a young deaf white cat at the shelter once. They just don't hear themselves when their senses are gone or starting to go.

I think somehow the vibrations in her body from meowing may be comforting to my Cameo though she can't hear the sound.

It's what old cats do, my old cat died at 17 and probably for the last 3 years of her life she would meow and meow and meow. I have also heard of other older cats doing this as well. Unfortunately we never figured out how to stop it. Sorry

it depends on what kind of cat you have Siamese ten to meow all the time, maybe your cat wants you to pet them.they miss you when your gone all day just like dogs just show it a little tender care every time you come home. show your cat that you love her/him.

It is probably getting senile and is feels loss. Fix it a box with bedding and make that its own spot. It just needs to feel secure
