If he was in the county jail I'd spring him out, If he's at some holding cell downtown then he's fine. How bad did he resist the arrest? The cops will mess wih his head and lock him up with some crazy fool if he pissed them off. If your friend wants to start throwing around money, save it for court. Since the friend is a underage, the judge will most likely make him pay for some alcohol abuse program.
**I forgot to mention, Whomever served the drinks is at fault. If he got the alcohol from someone 21+ then that person is screwed too.
Thats why you can't party with youngsters

Whoever served the drinks is the one at fault. The one in jail can sue the ones who gave him the drinks. And since the bail is set at $1000 he must have commited a felony as well, one serious enough that the prosecuter wants to charge him as an adult.
The best thing to do is to get him out of jail ASAP and hire a team of lawyers. If he is left in jail, well, he may never leave... ever again...

The person at fault is the person in jail. He wouldnt be in jail had he made better judgement. Whenever you get drunk and do things there's always the risk of getting arrested or getting in trouble with the police. If you cant handle your alcohol then avoid it all together. Otherwise drink responsibly and deal with the consequences.

Either get a good attorney or spend the next 5 years at least in jail plus your friend will need to pay for the damages as well.

"i say just leave him in there...i mean its his own fault for leaving the apartment drunk."
How can you even say that? First of all friends should always help friends....the guy was drunk and didn't understand what he was doing,(when I come to my friends house to drink, I just give him my car keys and tell him not to give it to me no matter what, eheh) if he was drinking at your friends house then your friend is responsible for everything, and I bet that if he is underage then your friend is the one who bought the booze, so he is 100% responsible..so i think that your friend should not freak out, things like that happen...he should go and bail him out, 1000 is not much...and when he comes out he should come to you and slap you for saying things like leave him in there

Well, you could leave him there or take the time to get the money to get him out, but it is up to you and your friend
