I have two daschunds. One male red "dappled" about 3yrs. old and one female red (solid) about 10 mos. old. their parents are full blooded also, but I don't know how to get them certified, or registered, what ever it is you need to show that they're pure bred. any help or advise is VERY much appreciated.

You'll have to get your dogs genetically tested and the documentation that both parents are purebred.

You will not be able to register these dogs.
In order to register with AKC both parents must be registered and the litter has to be registered by the breeder. They are given a puppy slip for each pup and when they sell the pup the new owner gets the slip to fill out and send in to register the dog. That is the only way.
Wht you have are purebreed non papered dogs.

I am not positive on this one, but here is my thought...
I believe the dogs should have been registered at birth by the breeder. the mother and father have to have papers and be registered before having the babies. if you have no papers on the 3yr old, good luck trying, but there may still be hope for the puppy...contact the breeder you got it from.

First of all, you will not be able to register these dogs if their parents aren't registered. The CKC sometimes allows dogs to be registered with them if the parent's aren't. If the parents weren't registered, there's a reason for it. I hope you didn't buy these dogs for breeding, because they'll turn out to be pretty worthless puppies if they aren't registered. Check and see if their parents are registered, and if BOTH are, then register your dogs each with their parent's registry. AKC allows you to do this online.

The below link explains AKCs take on the matter.

In other words, if you don't have the papers, and the parents are papered - no.
