I love the children's shows on t.v. My toddler has been educated and entertained- she really blossoms from many experiences incuding television. Why isn't God and Church discussed or made part of the theme of our kids t.v? Who would like to see that?

That would be great.
But it will never happen again. They use to talk about faith in God in TV programs a long time ago or at least they mentioned that the family went to church.

I love Veggie Tales and so do my kids. The are great stories from the bible and even feel good and do right stories. I wish that they would put them on PBS.

I know that the Catholic Television has kids programs on every day. Mostly stories from the bible.

I go to the Christen store and buy videos that have this
content in it. Channel 11 use to have some programming
along time ago with it in it, but i have not seen this. I just
go and buy videos for the Grandkids, because it seems the Moms seem to busy to take the kids to church so I
give them the experience by videos. Such as Jay-Jay
the Airplane, it's kind of like the Thomas the Engine
shows. Also Veggie Tales are about vegetables that have
all these expriences, the kids seem to come over just to
see the movies.

Check out the Scripture Scouts at www.scripturescouts.com or Deseret Book - it is a work in progress and so far you can get CDs with this really cute treehouse club with 3 children and a talking dog named Boo. They would like to get it going as a TV show but need funding. Guess timing is everything. My guess is Christians will have to produce more clean TV shows before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, just to replace all of the garbage that passes for entertainment that is on there now.

They just put Veggie Tales on NBC last week. I am so excited! They don't do the Bible verse at the end, but the show has a very clear positive message. In addition to Pax or TBN, there is Daystar. It has good Christian cartoons on Saturday mornings and some time in the afternoons.

There used to be an extremely large segment of Christian programming for kids on TV many years ago. Bible stories, Davie and Goliath, the little schoolshop and many many more. The generation that grew out of watching those shows are currently the corrupt politicians in power, the pedophile priests, the crooked cops and more.

In reality, the more religion is force fed to people, the more anti-religion they become, and the more dangerous society becomes to live in as a whole, and the fewer freedoms or rights you have as a citizen, to the point where religion is the extreme - such as in many middle eastern countries - and you are not considered to be a citizen unless you are worshipping the proper religion.

Probably because there are so many religions and you can't pick one religion on a childrens' T.V. show. Some cultures may be offended.

I understand where you are coming from...you want your child to grow up in the Lord, that's good. They don't discuss it on tv because they don't want to offend anyone...but the Christians. Go to you local Bible Book Store and ask for children's dvds.
Since the media won't do it we have to.

Try:

Veggie tales
Quigley's Village

Personally, I like my child to watch learn about every religion. I don't think it's fair for just Christianity--or just Judaism--or just Islam--or just any religion--to be taught on TV. I think if they allowed ALL shows from every religion to air (which would be difficult) in America--I would go for that idea. People can buy DVDs like Veggie Tales and Christian stories. You can put those movies in for your children to watch--I don't think it's fair for one religion to monopolize the teaching religion on TV. I do agree with Pay-Per-View children's shows though.

I am Christian. I am teaching my kids the believes of Christianity as well as other religions. They will choose what religion they believe in. I do not want to have their minds be molded on just one religion because that's all they've seen--or that's the majority of what they've seen. I choose to be Christian. I learned all the different religions--and Christianity mad the most sense. Hopefully my children will choose the same.

To answer your question--no, if it was just teaching the works of God and Church, I would not like to see that on TV. Just imagine the people who believe differently--how would it make you feel if Paganism was aired every Saturday influencing your child towards that religion. How would you feel?

Not me. If that happened, parents would have a fit about it. The Catholic religion is very complex, and there are a ton of controversies with the religion.
