You study, you go to school. You earn degrees. A doctor is someone that has earned a doctorate degree in a field of study. There can be doctors of music, doctors of mathematics, doctors of literature, etc. I am assuming you are referring to medical doctors. There are doctorate degrees in medicine and PhD degrees in the medical field. A lawyer is a Juries Doctor.

I assume you mean physicians (MDs). PhDs, DMAs, etc. are doctors. What do you mean by "the procedure?" How to get in? What happens once you get in?
