Flirting through aggression??????????????
My best friend is always hitting me playfully. She is a girl, I'm a guy, we are 15, and people keep saying she is flirting. Today, for example, she just hit me in the head with a school book (lol) for no reason. We have known each other for 2 years. First off, do you think this actually is her way of flirting? She doesn't do it to other people. And also, what should I do back? Should I also playfully mess around with her?

awww...yes she's flirting, although---owww! A school book? Anyway, I wouldn't hit her like she is doing to you. Maybe grab something of hers and try to make her get it from you. I don't know, it's been a while since I was in high school. Why don't you just ask her out on a date and see what she says? Good luck! : )

As a woman, I can tell you this if you haven't figued it out yet... Women are fickle. What we think or feel one day or even one moment, may not be the way we feel later. Take what you have and wait for her to offer more. It really sounds to me like she is being a typical chick though with a wonderful guy friend. She feels "safe" with you chatting, flirting or just "being". Sometime that can be taken the wrong way. My advice is to wait until you have a clearer picture with more signs. If she's saying she values you as a friend and doesn't want to lose that, then that is a great sign.Believe her that that is how she feels for at least the time being. Good luck!

Do you want a relationship with this girl. If you do then you need to ask her out on a date. The problem with flirting is that the signs can be read wrongly and if you want to get together with her you may be seeing what you want to see as opposed to what is actually there.
If you do not want a relationship with her then you need to let her know in a subtle way, try not to hurt her feelings. Try telling her that you have your eye on someone else or telling her that you think someone else might be interested In her and watch for her reaction.

the best thing to do is to talk to her about what signals she is trying to send. tell her you do not want to misunderstand the "playfulness" or misread her intentions. tell her you would like to get to know her on a more personal level but if that is not what she wants you can still be best friends. at your age being just "friends" with a girl is difficult to say the least. as you both mature the physical attraction will be harder to resist. the hitting and touching are part of finding out where the boundaries are. better to talk it out now and see exactly where everyone stands. at this point you have nothing to lose. even if she says she want to be just friends, you will not be any worse off than you are now.

every time she hits you, you flirt with her without hitting her, obviously you don't wanna hit a girl. Or say things like "wow when you hit me in the back of the head it turns me on", than she'll either say "eww were just friends" or "really" and you can take it from there.
p.s don't use the exact phrase "when you hit me it turns me on" thats really cory, come up with something cooler. You get the ides.

she might like you or she might want other girls to not like u by making them think that you guys are goin out...so she don't lose a friend to another girl...it may be flirting..u can tell if she don't do it around any people..if she does it more when you's are alone then yeah she's flirtin and likes you..if you like her like that flirt back if not then don't get her hopes up...

yeah mess back.she is flirting. i work with my bf and when he used to flirt with me he would putstickers on my back and id put emty boxes on his head messing. we got in trouble tho.
