I think that you can get a procedure that is reversable, that way if you DO decide that you want another child, you can. My sister has a 10 year old, 9 year old, 7 year old, and a 6 month old. After her last baby, she got her tubes tied because she said that she is DONE having kids. She is 29 years old, but she says she WILL NOT change her mind. So if you DO or DO NOT want anymore kids it is your decision, but if you think that you may want one later, get something that can be reversed later. I hope that this helps! Good Luck!!

Here is an article about tubal reversals:

Tubal Reversal Surgery

A tubal reversal is a very effective way to give women a second chance at pregnancy.
Just as a tubal ligation is considered to be major surgery, so is a tubal reversal. Normally, this procedure takes two to three hours and is done under general anesthetic. In order to make your fallopian tubes functional again doctor will remove any devices that have been inserted during the original ligation, and if needed will insert an implant into the tubes. This type of surgery done in our outpatient center. expect to completely recover from the procedure over the course of the next four to six weeks.

What are my chances of getting pregnant?
For women under 40 years of age, a tubal reversal done using the traditional surgical procedures offers a 60% to 80% chance of conceiving. Conception usually occurs in the first year following the procedure.

A Tubal Reversal significantly increases your chances of becoming pregnant. However, there is no guarantee; some women find they still cannot conceive after a reversal.

Is Tubal Reversal A Good Option For Me?
Not all women who have had a tubal ligation will be able to have the procedure reversed. During your initial assessment for the procedure, your fertility specialist will examine the current health of your fallopian tubes, most likely through laparoscopy. How your tubal ligation was done (whether your fallopian tubes were cut, tied, cauterized or non-surgically blocked)

Your current age and health conditions
The method used in your original ligation
The location in your fallopian tubes where the sterilization occurred
How much of your fallopian tubes remains to be treated

Reversal Microsurgery
It is possible to reverse tubal ligations with tubal microsurgery. This procedure has a fast recovery rate and a high rate of fertility after surgery.

There are 2 IUD you can use Paraguard 10 yrs or Mirena 5 yrs. Sounds like this might be the best option being that you are so young. Im 22 with 2 kids 5 and 3 and had my IUD inserted at 19.

i am 30 with 3 kids. i`m scheduled to have the laparoscopic sterilization this month. i am a little scared but i know i don`t want any more children. it will only take a week to recuperate and then i can go back to work. the doctor said its not as bad as it used to be.but you have to really know that you are done having children. maybe you should think about it some more and in the meantime use protection have you tried the patch or the needle? an iud last 2 1/2 years to 5 years maybe if you got that and decided later when you are a little older.

Gee, I thought I was bad having 3 by the time I was 23. You may end up feeling like I do, I had kids to young and never had time for me to find out who I was or what I wanted to do in life. Now my kids are grown and gone and I feel like I'm catching up on what I missed out on when I was young. You could think about having eggs frozen, so if you want more later you could still have some. I think you have your hands full now and sure don't need another kid. Get the tubal so you can relax and not have to worry.

Get an IUD. I have the Mirena and it last for 5 years. I don't think I will change my mind and want another child but it's good to have that option!

You need to worry about school because you sound like a extremely unintelligent person...how can you worry about more kids when the 3 you have now don't have much of a chance in life in becoming intelligent doctors and lawyers but store clerks and taxi drivers.

Do you mean your tubes tied? You should have got it done after your third baby they can do it right there no extra pain. If you go for one now it is surgery(painful) although it can be re-versed later on.
