You need to remind them where they work and tell them not to take it all too personal....

It's not like youre becomming the head of Microsoft or trading Bear Sterns from your infinity pool overlooking Orange county.

It's JACK IN THE BOX for cripsts sake!

You shouldn't feel badly though, maybe you are just the catalyst they need to move on to something bigger and actually better than lead french fry cooker.

it depends on if you have experience and if your on time. I work of cingular wireless and i got promoted from a rep to a trianer in 6 months over some one who has been here three years. The reason i got it they said was because i was always on time was excelling at the position i was in and they told me that they saw more potental in mre. im not saying this to toot my own horn but you need to look at it and think if this is a position you think you are going to be good at. think of how your other co-workers are doing in their poistions.

I am assuming that you are infinitely more intelligent than your co-workers, in which case. yes, it is a fully justified promotion. you ride that gravy train.
