The person/people who deserves it. Your biological father may not deserve that title if he has never cared for you. Some male religious figures are called fathers, out of respect, and also because they (purpotedly) care for you. Most people call their biological fathers 'father'.... but in the end everyone is unique and its up to you who you call 'father'.

The biological father or sperm doner is the father. Whoever steps up ( whether it be the same man or not) is Dad or Daddy. It takes a very special man to be a Dad anyone can be a Father. My son refers to his Bio father by his name, and my "real man" is DaDad, because he is with him when his father is off doing God knows what.

Your dad: Meaning the man who has been in your life aas your father figure. It may be your step-dad, biological dad, or your grandfather. I call my grandfather dad. He is the one who rasied me after his son left my mom when my sister and I were young. He is the a great father to us!

the man you respect whether he's the man that raised you or the one that gave birth to you. its an old phrase which i prefer not to use.
I call my biological dad by his first name and my step-dad by dad

whomever fills the role with dignity,respect,understanding,compassion,trustworthiness and most of all love. this doesn't have to be a biological parent. =)
