Go to your local pet shelter. Adopting a pet is always a wonderful thing to do.

Some things to consider when picking out a new dog:
1. Take your existing pet with you when you meet with potential new pets. See if they interact well together.
2. A mutt is actually a better choice in many cases than a purebred. They have less health issues as they have not been bred so closely.
3. If your male is not neutered then you will either want another male or a spayed female. If you get a female that has not been, you will want to get that done as soon as possible to avoid unwanted puppies.

Good luck in finding a new pet as well as getting your mom to agree. Just remember that a new pet brings with it more responsibility and expense.

It really depends on the living space and how much area you intend to give your dog to roam freely. There are certain breeds that are larger than others and may feel uncomfortable in a small area. I have a Siberian Husky and I lover her very much, although she is a bit naughty, she's always looking for food. Although getting her spayed didn't help much, but that doesn't mean I still don't love her. If you want a cute dog, I would recommend an Old English Sheepdog, although I warn you they can grow up to be pretty big. They have long hair and always makes me laugh when I see one.

If you get a siberian huskey you will have a lot of work on your hands. Number one they are not little dogs they are big and they shead a lot. Granted they are beautiful but you would need a lot of open space for them to run around and yes they are friendly with other dogs, if you get them as a puppy and raise them with other dogs, but they are mainly a one owner dog. So if you get one its best that you keep it and not give it away.

Ask your mothers fiance about getting a dog and see if he can't help you decide on what do to get and also to pursade your mom. Good luck.

If you plan to keep your puppy outside all the time, I suggest you don't get one until your mom marries the vet. he will know better than to do that and can select a breed for you. Also, he'll be trying to get you on his good side, so let him know how much you want a puppy and he'll probably surprise you with one. That way mom can deal with him not you..

Check out your local animal shelter or Humane Society. Both organizations can help you pick an appropriate puppy and teach you how care for it. For further information about having the dog you wanted, go to your local dog obedience club; they have all kinds of classes for you and your dog.
Do you really plan to have the puppy live outside only?

You could get the Husky pup but you know that you will have to comb the dog everyday. Also You would want to get a male dog. A Husky is a great dog to have and you would love it.

Well, my suggestion is to check out your local shelters or a breed rescue group. Most all dogs get along, some have issues so watch out for that. As for what to tell your mom, get your Step-Dad to help you out with that.

Dogs are social animals and should be kept with your family inside. Don't get a puppy until you can keep it inside, its no life for a dog to be tied up outdoors all the time.

Congratulations for your new dog! To educate the dog to obey instructions you ought to be constant. Always use the equal word or phrase and continually talk within the equal tone of voice. Speak for your usual voice. Do no longer yell. Yelling frightens the dog and won't educate him/her a factor. You would possibly believe that it does, considering that simply as an instance say the dog has performed whatever that he/she is not meant to do and also you end up annoyed with Puppy and also you yell "No". The dog will transfer clear of you and you can also believe that you've taught him/her whatever and this may not occur once more. Well, you could be part proper. You have taught the dog whatever by way of yelling at her/him and that's to be fearful of you considering that the dog may not have an understanding of why you are yelling. Please talk in a usual voice or a delicate voice whilst you talk to the dog. In order to educate the dog the command "No" first determined what the dog can do and what the dog is not meant to do. Some of that is visible to you and your loved ones. Some might not be if in case you have youngsters reminiscent of you do not desire the dog at the furnishings considering that it (the furnishings) gets soiled and it's going to get puppy hair. After you determine together with your loved ones what's O.K. for the dog to do and what isn't O.K., then everybody must use the equal phrase or phrases to educate the dog. Puppys gain knowledge of by way of repetition. Just hold at it and beautiful quickly you'll have a quality good behaved dog. Also, please don't hit the dog--regardless of a rolled up newspaper. People say that in case you do that the dog or the puppy is not going to companion it with you however this isn't precise. The dog can see who's protecting that newspaper. If you desire to subject the dog you must no longer hit or yell. I had a dog that I crate proficient and while she could no longer obey me after routinely, then I could placed her in her crate for what's known as a "day out." I could no longer placed her within the crate after which placed her in a room by way of herself--she could have felt deserted. Instead I placed the crate within the room with me and I sat and talked to her till she calmed down after which I instantly permit her out. You would possibly do that. As to educating the dog to not chew, and to not bark-- puppys bark--that is usual however to educate her to give up barking, simply talk for your usual voice and inform her "No" or "Be relatively" or "Hush" or whatever like that. As a long way as trainer her to not chew, first be definite that the individual isn't teasing the puppy. Biting is without doubt one of the methods that puppies and puppys have of protecting themselves. If the individual had no longer teased the dog, simply talk for your usual voice to the dog and inform him/her "No" or "The postman is our buddy" or whatever alongside those strains. This will take awhile, however puppies are shrewd. Keep at it as I stated previous and beautiful quickly you'll have a good-mannered dog. I nearly neglected the final side of your query. Since the dog is white a few names perhaps Snowball Frosty (male) Also you must make a record of names that you simply like and names that go well with the dog. Take a couple of days and watch the dog and you'll observe the dog's character and you can also desire to make a reputation from a attribute that he/she has. For illustration, I had a combined breed terrier. The identify she had while I first acquired her used to be absolutely beside the point. I made a record of names that I appreciated and I watched the dog and I spotted that she walked like a woman and held her head similar to a woman and so my new dog grew to become Lady.
