ok i am a natural smart @$$ i always have been and its hard for me not to be but that means i tend to be one when i talk to my girlfriend is this a bad thing?

Yes its a bad thing if you do it ALL the time...joking and being funny and a bit on the smarta$$ side is okay every now and again. But most girls would find it offensive to be a jerk all the time

My man can be a smart a** at times and that was the way he was when I met him, as a matter of fact he told me when we first met that he could be a smart a**. However there are times when him being a smart a** is a problem, for example when I have PMS, and at that point I just give him the look, sometimes I warn him in advance that I have PMS and he does his best to curb it. Ask her if it bothers her and if you really love her you will not have a problem if at times she asks you not to be a smart a** because sometimes it isn't appropriate or appreciated. I hope that you aren't a smart a** all the time because that may be a problem.

I'm a smarta$$ too bro. Dont worry about it. Every girl that I've been with loved it cause I know when I'm going too far. You just have to find someone who has a sense of humor and likes to dish it aswell as take your comments. If you find her, dont let her go cause you'll have a great relationship just off the two of you's personalities

I too am a smart @$$, and i can tell you that after a few years my GF left me because of it. Some people don't appreciate good wisecracking.
