I get them periodically, usually on the back of my head. Is there a way to get rid of them for good?

Boils are usually a staph infection. It is very serious & at times can cause death. You must see a doctor & get some antibiotics to clear the infections. They're very painful & you shouldn't squeeze them. They're also very contagious, so always make sure your hands are squeaky clean at all times, especially after touching the lesion. Don't share towels & wash cloths. Make sure you're careful with the infection as not to allow it to come in contact with broken skin. Again, see a doctor, it's very important.

Since they are in your head, I would say see a dermatologist. They will most likely lance them and drain them and take the "bag" out. If you don't get the whole thing out and pack them they will close back over and come back.

You will probably need an antibiotic as well.

Good Luck!

there r very good med in homeo. There is no knife use and also no side effects.Normally before a boil is broken they give Heper sulf .This med either break it easyly or suppress it as per its brain. After its breaking it is silicia
200 which clears it nicely.

i would say go to some kind of doctor and let them check it and they may need to drain or they may be able to remove it all together. some boils are from a hair root and remove the hair may just help the boil
