Like the millions of doctors and surgeons who are always correcting the naturally occurring mistakes and genetic anomolies that people are born with. -- we naturally get sick.

Are doctors messing with the divine by 'fixing' and treating these things, or are they doing god's work for him by correcting what God couldn't?

God created the UNIVERSE in only 7 days. I think it's asking too much to demand perfection. Perhaps that is why there is 'heaven,' where everything is perfect.
No, I don't think doctors are messing with the divine. God probably gives doctors thumbs up.

Believing man can accomplish anything without god or do anything better than god is hubris.

Of course, it could just be common sense, after all, God let some people have debilitating genetic disorders. If we can correct them, doesn't that mean in some way we are smarter than god?

God is meant to be omnipotent. The fact you claim that he made mistakes suggests that he doesn't exist, in which case the doctors aren't messing with Him.

OOh, I was ready to answer until your last sentence, now I'm confused and hurt.

Aren't you "playing god" every time you take even an antibiotic? Or do any single act designed to make you live longer? If you have a "time" when god will call you, why would you think any possible act could change when that is?
