apply for a pardon. If it is a non serious(non violent) felony there should be no blocking your application to the CMA.

It will depend on what the felony is and the policy for where you work. I work in the medical field and we have to run a criminal history on all new employees (so DONT lie about it) and when something comes up on the report, we address it in a case by case basis. If it was that long ago, and you can explain it to your future employer you should be fine. Just be really honest and tell them "here is what happened, it was 10 years ago and I swear it is never going to happen again!" Good luck

Possibly. It would partially depend on who is doing the hiring, and their general opinions as far as people with felony records. You shouldn't try to hide it from them, though. Be open about it, and let them know of the changes you have made with your life. Honesty can make a great impression on people. If you try to hide it, and it is discovered later, you will more than likely lose your position.

You may be able to-- it depends on what you did. all applications for licenses ask if you have ever been convicted of a felony. the best way to go is to be open and honest when asked. if you hide it, someone will find out and then you may be kicked out of the profession. if you are open and it was ten years ago, chances are you will be ok.

can you petition the court to have the felony expunged from your record so that you can give an honest answer about previous convictions when filling out applications?
