I was with my boyfriend and one of his associates and when i was ready to leave his friend called me by the name of my boyfriend's ex. I was so pissed off at my boyfriend because he didn't speak up and say anything to the guy like that isn't her name. at least say something. the friend told my guy that the reason he thought I was his ex was because he heard through someone else that my boyfriend and his ex were always feuding and he just assumed it was me. Is that bullshit or what? I say my boyfriend must have been around this guy with his ex. Shouldn't i be pissed off?

That was an honest mistake that his friend made, not him. He is not in control of his friend's tounge. His friend probably met the previous girlfriend before. Anyway, if it were something disrespectful that he called you and your man didn't say anything, then yes, be upset. But to get upset because he accidently called you a different name? That's absolutely ridiculous. Pick your battles wisely...this one isn't worth fighting. Chalk it up to a mistake, and let it go.

I say that you should have been way more than pissed off because the friend just gave you a poor excuse and to tel you the truth I don't think that it's true. He might have wanted to say something else but caught himself when he realized that he had the wrong girl. I think that you should talk to your boyfriend about that.

I'd say there's no need to be. If it was your b/friend calling yu by the x's name then that would be huge.......It could have been done deliberately if the friend doesn't like you. Honestly, don't let this come between you two. Who knos maybe you b/friend's pal was real close to the ex. Don get worked up over this.

Smile!!!

Simple mistake, if you let them know it pissed you off then it makes you look imature. Blow it off but you might want to ask your bf why his friend thought you were his ex and then leave it at that

You have jumped to an assumption so yes the last bit has to be bull ****!

Talk to your bloke once you have settled down and realise you are being insecure. Chances are he decided to let it go, cos his mate just made a simple mistake.

Yes you should have been upset, but you should have stood up for yourself since your man is obviously not man enough to. He probably didn't say anything because he didn't want to open a can of worms!

Do you have a good boyfriend? Sometimes we get alerts from others just so they can stir up things. I think you need to trust your guy until proven otherwise.

he met the ex, that's for sure. and he learned her name. now she's gone but he's too lazy to learn your name or he did it just to see your reaction (guys do that).

Blow it off and show them you can take a joke or overlook a mis speak one time.

Let it go- life is too short to get twisted over minor mistakes in social settings. Accpet his explanation and move on.
