This is what I found from the CDC website about Hep C:
http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hepatitis/c/faq.htm
Can HCV be spread by sexual activity?
Yes, but this does not occur very often.
Can HCV be spread by oral sex?
There is no evidence that HCV has been spread by oral sex.
How can persons infected with HCV prevent spreading HCV to others?
Do not donate blood, body organs, other tissue, or semen.
Do not share personal items that might have your blood on them, such as toothbrushes, dental appliances, nail-grooming equipment or razors.
Cover your cuts and skin sores to keep from spreading HCV.
Should patients with hepatitis C change their sexual practices if they have only one long-term steady sex partner? No. There is a very low chance of spreading HCV to that partner through sexual activity. If you want to lower the small chance of spreading HCV to your sex partner, you may decide to use barrier precautions such as latex condoms. The efficacy of latex condoms in preventing infection with HCV is unknown, but their proper use may reduce transmission. Ask your doctor about having your sex partner tested.

Transmission of Hep C through sexual contact is extremely infrequent. Over the course of a 20 year monogomous heterosexual relationship (where no condoms were used) about 2.5% transmit the virus to their partner. So, yes Hep C can be transmitted through sexual activity (with the presence of blood found in virtually all cases) but it happens VERY rarely. The presence of HIV in the HCV infected person also seems to increase the risk of transmission. Hep C requires blood to blood contact, and sharing needles for injection drug use is (by far) the number one way that Hep C is transmitted.

Highly unlikely. Hep C is spread only from blood to blood. It is rarely sexually transmitted. If the partner also shared the same risk factors, then they may have hep c, too, but from the risk factors, not from sex. They should not share toothbrushes and razors, as the virus can be transmitted from bleeding gums and from nicks from a razor.

There is a good chance the partner will aquire Hep C, but not positively. USE CONDOMS!!!, even then they sometimes fail. The person should get tested soon.

Probably not-You only have a less than 2% chance of sexual transmission of Hep C. I know people that have had it for years and their spouses not have it. Hep C is spread through blood, breast milk and pus only!

Yes, the partner that is not hep c possitive may get the virus. You should get them tested and have them get the vaccine.

My doctor told me that hepC is even more contagious than AIDs and can kill just as badly. Chances are good if the sex was unprotected the partner has it now too. It can remain dormant a while in some people, but usually doesn't.

Chances are slim of getting hep c this way. It is spread by blood to blood contact, such as with shared needle use. Go to : http://health.yahoo.com/topic/hepatitis/overview/article/healthwise/hw144586;_ylt=AhrhKmdYKYF5T42qk4tTodWz7M8F for more info.

Hepatitis C may be transmitted during unprotected sex (sex without using a condom), although this risk is considered very low.
