Do you try and convert all Religions or just Christians?

So, what is it really? Is it ego?

If you pose a question that is a real question, that is one thing, but the statement with a question mark at the end or the absurd question that could have easily been answered with a quick Google search, please don't.

Is that reasonable?

Truth Seeker - All religions spread propaganda.

Woody - Yes of course Christians absolutely do this and frequently. I was just calling the kettle black. Honestly, if I was in a burning building asleep, would you try to wake me up so I could escape?

Pool God - Why not, its fun. Besides, I like science alot.

To be sure, this was a response to Jim Darwin's question and is intended as a thought provoker and challenge. All the iron in my kitchen is black.

A question in reverse.

RY Guy 62 - You get an official "WOW" from me. The question was posed to Atheists though and I will have to go back to Jim Darwins original question to check to see if a Christian is allowed to get best answer. I can't remember. Or does it go to vote?

Been There - (and to others with similar answers) - Atheists preach truth as they see it just like we do. Many atheists come from a religious background, mostly very negative. Also, Just about every atheist I have ever talked with was extremely intelligent (except for not believing there is a God. That is just silly in my opinion. ) so please don't misconstrue what I am posing as a "bashing".

Adam T - The first part is an intro to the question:

"A question for Atheists who try to convert Christians on Yahoo Answers" ? < this question mark was inserted by YA, not me.

The actual question is:

"Do you try and convert all Religions or just Christians?"

I apologize if I confused you with this change in protocol. You should really try to keep up.

2006-10-06 11:12:41 · update #9

Adam T - Sorry, the thumbs down was actually from my son. Maybe we should play a game or two of chess to resolve the matter.

This was a response to Jim Darwin's question:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AozUgR9WcHYpD3zgKmgnRUIezKIX?qid=20061001201226AAz1kmU&cp=2&tp=2#all-answers

I asked it in reverse to "call the kettle black" so to speak because in the same fashion that atheists and other non-religious folks are irritated by the aggressive evangelism of Christians here in YA, Christians are equally irritated by atheists who proselytize by asking questions. We have answers which to you are not answers. You have questions which to us are not questions. My son who is eight yrs old gave you the thumbs down because he felt that you insulted me. I would like to challenge your beliefs respectfully and hope that you will do the same for me. It is probably good that you did not challenge my faulty logic in a game of chess since I am a US Chess Federation Coach. The question was posed in this format to demonstrate how irritating it is when questions are posed in this format. Insane? Absolutely!

Atheists are funny people, they keep telling everyone that we are wrong and they are right...
and yet they argue we do that only?!

Atheism is becoming a religion and unlike educated Christian/Muslim/Jewish discourse, they are obsessed with bashing religion without any respect.

And its not even like most atheists are atheists because they educated themselves. They are athetists because they don't care, or they are ignorant. Very few truly argue philosophical thought and have researched major religions without bias.

It's all side of the "Great Commission" - cross out and unfold the Good News. All Christians do it, to their possess levels. It might be like asking a Muslim, "Why do you pray so frequently an afternoon?" It's simply side in their faith. Or asking why a Hindu thinks cows are so essential. It's side in their faith. If you requested a Christian at the avenue approximately their faith, they might, to a couple measure, let you know approximately their revel in. When you ask a query on Yahoo Answers, your profile is coming over to MANY persons. Plus, we've Paul in our historical past - the person who unfold the Good News far and wide the recognized international on the time. He was once rather towards Christianity to start with - whilst the leaders of the time stoned Stephen for being a Christian, Paul held their cloaks and watched! So if Paul would have a conversion revel in, we cause any person can. That's why we strive.

You have posted a statement and not a question. Your statement is arguing against posting statements. This is basically insane. Don't worry, this is typical of Christians. You are not the first of your kind to fail at logic. You have actually demonstrated why Christians need to be converted. We need to teach them to think.
edit-
No, actually I was not confused. You made a statement, and tried to turn it into a question. I understood you fine, but you seem to be unable to grasp logic. Maybe let your son try again. And as far as trying to just convert Christians....sorry, you guys just aren't that special. And as for chess, when it comes to stopping people from waisting their lives on silly superstition, I don't play games.

Real Atheists aren't trying to convert anybody. We ask questions. You ask questions. Whats wrong with a little healthy debate. Surly you have more faith in your religion then to believe a Christian might convert because of a question on Yahoo! Answers.

Christians often ask questions that aren't questions.

They also post some very FALSE statements about science as givens.

They also point out things they consider obvious that truthfully have no evidence at all, merely personal anecdotes.

I don't think any atheists is likely to convert many christians, but atheists should expose ignorance and lies in the current politcal environment especially!

I'm not trying to change anyone's religion. I'm more or less here to entertain my self during my day when I have a few free minutes just to come on in and just stir up the pot.

Everyone is eligible for a best answer to all my questions.

Its the other way around. Christians trying to convert everybody to their way of thinking, and i don't think they should be allowed to spam a load of scripture instead of asking a question. Forcing it down peoples throats is not acceptable.

I don't believe that any one can be converted to Atheism. What you say about the some of the postings is correct but on the flip side of that you need to realize that some chrisitains are also guilty of what you say.
